Technical Business Analyst / Functional Consultant

The Technical Analyst will be responsible for gathering, defining, and documenting requirements from client sites in Europe and APAC. When deploying our workflow automation platform in new countries a degree of configuration & customisation is required for our clients. You will be responsible for engaging with the client Business Analysts and internal Project managers to scope out and define MVP requirements for new activations.

Your responsibilities

A professional at this position level within our company has the following responsibilities:

  • Performing analysis and documentation of as-is capabilities on client business processes regarding digital media trading
  • Assist in development and testing of new business processes and capabilities.
  • Identify / gap analysis between current platform and client requirements
  • Performing application design activities (e.g. writing functional designs), technical design activities and portions of technology test and deployment
  • Writing user stories for delivery in an agile development environment
  • Developing deployment deliverables (communications, training, etc..)

Your work will ensure that client implementation process is constantly being refined and shortened so less customisation is required as we enter new markets. The typical timelines may involve around two weeks on a given client site then a few weeks back in Sydney to further define and document items for the development teams.

The ideal candidate will be a team player, someone who is happy to roll-up their sleeves and get the job done, as well as being comfortable managing multiple senior (internal and external) stakeholders. You will have been a Technical Business Analyst / Functional Consultant working on large technology transformation projects in the past, ideally across different countries, and ideally within the Digital Media industry.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills that build positive relationships with clients and other team members
  • Proven ability to quickly assimilate a thorough understanding of a new software product
  • Experience defining and documenting detailed requirements for Product and Development Teams

We’re looking for people who have

  • Experience developing web-based applications.
  • Experience in Node.js (ideal) or Ruby, Python, or similar and enthusiasm to learn Node.js.
  • Experience in CoffeeScript, Express, Jade (or other templating system), Stylus (or other stylesheet system), and Bootstrap.
  • Knows why distributed version control matters and ideally already uses Git.
  • Passion for software testing – unit, integration and E2E
  • Passion for RESTful APIs
  • Great communication skills

Bonus points:

  • Knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, CloudFront, MapReduce and RDS etc)
  • Open source portfolio on a GitHub, Stackoverflow or similar.

US Market Lead

Our growth is accelerating and we have created new roles for outstanding Business Directors. In support of this Adslot is looking for an exceptional leader to assume overall responsibility for the US organisation, based in NYC. The role encompasses sales strategy and sales team management, oversight of client service and support and day-to-day management of our growth and our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Refine the sales strategy and focus the US sales organisation on execution, whilst leading by example
  • Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets

  • Develop and maintain strong, meaningful agency relationships at senior and operational levels
  • Lead client meetings and product demonstrations
  • Develop and maintain a thorough working knowledge of our platform
  • Refine sales pipeline reporting and forecasting at individual and team level
  • Work closely with our Client Services team and clients direct to oversee the successful implementation and 
adoption of our technology
  • Assist the CEO to identify, evaluate and establish partnership opportunities to execute on the company’s business objectives

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Have 5-10 years sales/marketing experience in digital media
  • Have 2-5 years experience building, motivating and managing sales teams
  • Have no less than 3 years of demonstrable success in a high growth, revenue performance orientated environment
  • Have developed an extensive network of decision making/high influencing industry contacts, particularly within the media agency community in NYC and US generally
  • Have a well developed ability to sell at all levels of the client organisation as needed
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of the digital advertising industry, and an entrepreneurial flair
  • Be a strong leader with both a strategic and ‘hands on’ approach to sales and marketing
  • Positive “can do” attitude
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
